It was time for a refresh. We were tapped to update this legendary labels logo and identity. Roadrunner had been using the same logo since the 90’s and it felt a bit dated. We sought to modernize the type used without deviating from their iconic look and signature red. The new font features strong diagonals that cut through just like their roasters music and gave the label a new sharpness they were looking for.

Including legendary artists such as Slipknot, Nickelback, Korn, Sepultura, Turnstile, Killswitch Engage, Trivium, Stone Sour, Gojira, and Type O Negative, Roadrunner has remained one of the most influential and culturally defining labels in heavy music. We sought to honor the culture that they helped build and continues to support their work. This secondary logo sought to give more edge and grit.
